Testing Data - Stinger Golf Tees

In September of 1998, 10 professional golfers from the Northern Ohio area participated in the testing of Stinger Golf Tees.

Each golfer hit 2 dozen brand new Precept EV Extra Spin Golf Balls. Twelve of the balls hit off a regular tee were identified with a mark, and the other 12 balls hit off the Stinger Tee were left unmarked. Distances in the practice area were measured in 5 yard increments beginning at 235 yards and extending to 345 yards.

Shots were alternated off each of the 2 different types of tees to eliminate the "tired" factor. The distance of each golfer's tee shots hit off the regular tee, and tee shots hit with the Stinger Tee were then added up. The total distance of the tee shots hit off the regular tee was then subtracted from the total distance of the tee shots hit off the Stinger Tee. The difference was then divided by 12, the number of balls hit off each tee.

The distance of the shots hit off the Stinger Tee by each of the 10 golfers averaged from 1-4 yards more than the distance tee shots were hit off of the regular tee. In some cases, that's almost a half club less on your next shot, just from using a different wooden tee!! Also, in every case, the longest tee shot hit by each of the 10 pros was hit off the Stinger Tee.

I appreciate the fact that since human beings and not a "machine" were used in this testing, there is a human error factor present. You have to admit, though, that these actual test results are more than a coincidence. To be more conclusive, test Stinger Tees for yourself. The results may surprise you!
